STAND FOR PROGRESS
Promoting social enterprise and its role in creating a better tomorrow
Sara Nuru is a social entrepreneur and model, born in Germany to Ethiopian parents. Sara and her sister Sali founded nuruCoffee in 2017, a social enterprise that sells fairly-traded Ethiopian coffee while supporting women in Ethiopia to start their own businesses by providing them with microloans, training and education.
Together with @saranuru and Ashoka’s ChangemakerXchange program (@ashokachangemaker), we’re bringing together 20 of the most disruptive and creative young innovators with social business models from Europe and beyond to a collaborative summit on ‘Business for Purpose’ in May 2019
THE CHANGEMAKER XCHANGE
The summit and accelerator program, both fully funded by TOMS, offer the selected participants a unique opportunity to join an international network of social entrepreneurs, as well as the tools, support, and resources to bring their impact to the next level.
STAND WITH SARA
Sara is taking a stand for progress in the Sicily Sandal. Designed for the days that leave you feeling sun-kissed and inspired, the Sicily is a summer stable that brings endless comfort to free spirited style.
STAND FOR TOMORROW
Through our Stand for Tomorrow program, TOMS is partnering with today’s most inspiring changemakers to take a stand for issues that matter. Alongside working to empower these changemakers, we’re also providing financial assistance to a range of non-profits and social enterprises working across each issue area. Because it’s bigger than shoes. It’s what you do in them.
